Parade Route: North along Douglas Ave from

Beltrees St to Skinner Blvd.

Important Information You Need to Know for the Parade!

Navigating to Parade Staging:

Parking is available along the streets and at specified parking lots. Try to get there early as some streets close.

Parade Timeline:

• 5:00 PM – Float arrives in staging – Unit #TBD
• 5:30 PM – ALL MUST be in staging
• 6:30 PM – Group photo by the float
• 7:00 PM Parade begins 

Facts you should know about the day:

• Thieves are Unit #TDB
• Snacks will be available. Dinner WILL NOT be provided. Encouraged to eat prior to staging. 

Adult Guests and Minors:

• Hold Harmless/Stepp’s Waivers MUST be signed and given to Kitty in staging if not already provided
• For Thieves - TSL Bead Certification & Member Hold Harmless Waiver
• For Minors - TSL Minor Hold Harmless Waiver Medical Authorization Fillable.pdf(no notary available in staging)
• For Adult Guests and Security - Hold Harmless Form
• 12 and under MUST ride the float and stay with an adult
• Children 13 and older may walk the parade route, however, there is NO ON/OFF once we are moving.
• The parade is approx. 1.5 miles. Please make certain walkers are able to walk the entire parade.

Parade Attire: 

• Thieves are in full TSL Costume:

  • White dress with peplum, panty hose, black boots
  • White tunic with black leggings, peplum, black boots
  • White or black top with black pleather skirt or shorts, peplum, fishnet over panty hose, black boots
  • Black skirt, white blouse with vest, panty hose, black boots
  • Accessories - especially light up and Mardi Gras themed
• Adult/guest attire – Dark bottoms, T-shirt/long-sleeve shirt/blouse, pirate outfits, and closed-toe shoes/boots. Pirate accessories encouraged. NO sandals/flip flops or obscene logos on attire. 

Beads:

• Bead colors – any colored beads for this parade.
• Remove the beads from the plastic bags prior to parade day.
• Beads/throws need to be underhand tossed or handed to the spectators. No overhand throwing allowed.
• DO NOT DISTRIBUTE BEADS IN STAGING AREA PRIOR TO BEGINNING OF PARADE
• Stop bead distribution at parade end

General Rules of Participation:

• Listen to and be respectful of the TSL Team Security. They are there for your safety, as well as theirs.
• NO smoking on the float. No smoking on the parade route.
• At disbanding, please move quickly and safely. TSL Team Security will assist you.

Safety First:

• Do not run up to the back of the float and jump on. Wait for a member of Team Security to assist you.
• Keep a safe distance between you and the back of the float, in case the float makes a sudden stop.
• On parade route, walk behind the float. Never along the side of the float.
• DO NOT stop to pick up beads on the ground, keep moving.
• Be aware of parade route hazards – beads, debris, and potholes in the streets.
• Do not stand by the generators on the 2^nd floor – the chain closure is there for a reason.
• Do not sit on the float shelves or railings while in staging or during the parade.
• TSL Team Security will instruct you to keep moving if you fall behind. Keep up with the pace of the float.
