Dunedin Mardi Gras Parade

Parade Route – Douglas Ave at Beltrees St ending at Skinner Blvd

Parade Timeline:

• 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM - Float expected in staging – TSL is unit 21
• 6:15 PM – Be in staging (Douglas Ave between Union St and Beltrees St)
• 6:30 PM – Krewe picture by float in staging
• 7:00 PM Parade begins – Parade route Douglas Ave at Beltrees St and
  ends at Skinner Blvd

More Info:

• Thieves must wear our official parade costume
• Guests in Mardi Gras or Pirate themed attire. If your guest is in another Krewe, they can wear their Krewe parade costume.
• All are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras themed color light-up bling, headwear, and accessories. Let’s light up “Mardi Gras” TSL-style!
• Beads/Throws – TSL colors mixed with Mardi Gras themed throws. NO candy on a stick is allowed.
• No bead/throws distribution until the “start” flag at Douglas Ave and Beltrees St

Disbanding – Parade ends at the corner of Douglas Ave and Skinner Blvd

• If you are walking and you have all your personal belongings you will walk to the left of the “parade end” sign and proceed north on Skinner Blvd onto Pinellas Trail to bring you back to downtown.
• If you are on the float at the “parade end” sign the float will turn right on Skinner Blvd and you will have a brief time period to disband.
• Listen to TSL Head Security, Dave Rice, when it is safe to disband. (ALL subject to change per Parade Marshals).

Guests:

• Hold Harmless/Stepp’s Waivers MUST be signed and given to Claudia in staging if not already provided -For Adult Guests and Security - Hold Harmless Form
• For Thieves - TSL Bead Certification & Member Hold Harmless Waiver

Safety First!:

• Do not run up to the back of the float and jump on. Wait for a member of Team Security to assist you.
• Keep a safe distance between you and the back of the float, in case the float makes a sudden stop.
• On parade route, walk behind the float. Never along the side of the float.
• DO NOT stop to pick up beads on the ground, keep moving.
• Be aware of parade route hazards – beads, debris, and potholes in the streets.
• Do not stand by the generators on the 2^nd floor – the chain closure is there for a reason.
• Do not sit on the float shelves or railings while in staging or during the parade.
• TSL Team Security will instruct you to keep moving if you fall behind. Keep up with the pace of the float.
